Healing Stage

Shared creation
as a path to transformation.

Healing Stage is a project that draws on elements of therapeutic theatre, dramatherapy and Co-Active Therapeutic Theatre. It is neither a club nor a healthcare service — it is a professionally led, time-bound group process with a tangible outcome.

Three phases of the process

From theme to premiere and back to yourself.

  1. 01

Defining the theme and creating the performance

The group meets regularly, usually once a week for several months. It gradually finds and develops a shared theme that matters to it.

Out of this work grow both the script and the performance itself. The phase typically includes at least one intensive weekend, usually 6 to 8 hours both Saturday and Sunday.

  2. 02

    Public performance

The performance is shown in front of an audience. The group work enters the public space and speaks to viewers who may be part of families, the organisation or the wider community.

The public presentation is part of the process, not its goal. It gives the work weight and participants a chance to experience being received.

  3. 03

    Post-performance meetings

After the premiere the group continues in follow-up meetings. These help integrate what emerged during the process and the presentation: emotions, relationships, insights and concrete skills.

This phase is as important as the creation itself. Without it only a performance would remain; with it a lasting experience takes shape.

What the project is

A meeting point of art, group work and lived experience.

The project rests on three things: artistic practice, professional group work, and the lived experience of every participant. The goal is not a performance as a feat — it is a process that naturally arrives at a public presentation.

Over the course of several months each group finds its own theme. From this work an original or collectively developed performance emerges. A public presentation is not a duty — it is a moment of sharing with its rightful place in the process.

We place strong emphasis on group safety, ongoing supervision and respect for the pace and possibilities of each participant.

Who leads the project

Dramatherapy

Work with people

More than five years of experience in social work and the non-profit sector with different groups of children, adults, families and communities.

Supervision and development

Every project is supported by regular supervision, continuing education and professional collaboration.

Project values

The process should be sensitive, understandable and responsibly held.

Safety and clear boundaries

The process should hold the group, the theme and the public moment so participants know what frame they are in.

Respect for each person’s pace

Creation adapts to the group’s possibilities. The aim is not pressure to perform, but a meaningful step.

Creation without acting pressure

We use theatrical language as a means of expression. It is not an acting contest or a chase for perfection.

Responsibility after the performance

The public presentation does not end with applause. Follow-up meetings and integration are just as important.
